We had discussed about different launchers for android smartphones. Now we will discuss about best web browsers available in android.Nowadays we use default web browsers in our device or others like ucweb or opera mini etc.I would suggest that one should try using dolphins browser. Its available for free in android market. It is almost like and closest to google chrome in PCs.
The best thing about this is that you dont need to type anything like website address etc.It has a guesture system in it. For example if you want to go to google, you can just draw a G on the page and it automatically takes you to google page. Same way if you draw 'y' it takes you to youtube etc.Other option is voice search which is actually called Sonar. You can directly speak out the websites name and next second you are in that particular website.
There is a sliding option too. If we slide from left to right, a coloumn appears which includes history,bookmarks and other options related to webpage. If we slide from right to left, we get another coloumn which includes options for fullscreen,add colour option and for different themes for your browser.Dolphins browser is very fast as ito loads the web pages faster as compared to others.

So, Dolphins is one of the best and fastest web browsers available in android for free and i think everyone should go for it!!

This is regarding the show which is being aired on star plus every Sunday morning. The question is “Is it really worth watching?” I would say yes. Anyhow Star plus have created an interest among the audience by roping in Bollywood star Amir Khan as the host. The show gives us a brief idea of what actually is going on in our country. The first episode was about female foeticide where he discusses how pregnant women are forced to abort their child if it is going to be a girl child (determined through sex determination test). Amir debates about this in a very good manner.

The other episodes were about child sex abuse, Indian wedding (dowry case) and then about unprofessional doctors in our country. At the end of the each show there is one heart touching song which is actually for connecting to the audience As Amir says “Agar mere dil mein nahin,toh tere dil mein  sahin”.

Negatives:

One point to be discussed here is what actually the show is trying to achieve. The present season is not yet over, so can’t comment on that really. I hope it is not just for high TRPs, ratings etc. Amir gives us hope at the end of every episode like in first one where he decides to write a letter to Rajasthan CM about the cases. So, what we actually want to know is, is the work done just by writing a letter? Are the show’s directors and team still working on that case and letter or just moving on as all people do.

This is where they have to change. Just taking one step is not enough for a solution to a very big problem. What they are doing is before one problem is solved, they move on to another one thus increasing the work load. I think Amir and his team must have even forgotten about the first two cases.

Positives:

The show has positives too. Every coin has two sides; the other side is “At least someone is taking an initiative!!” If not solving problems, at least they are making the people of our country aware about them and giving knowledge about how from our side we can stop it i.e. not doing the crime yourself.

Finally there is something worth to watch on TV. So, I guess everyone should watch this show instead of all scripted reality shows and decide whether they want to do injustice or justice to the future generation.

The menu screen is also great.The best feature about SPB shell 3D is its butter like smoothness. It is very easy to slide between different screens unlike in other launchers where they might take min 2 secs to slide. You have in addition a 3D image viewer too where you can slide your fingers up and down and go through all the images.

The disadvantage about this is that it consumes lot of battery. But it is worth having such launchers in your smartphone, and above all its absolutely free.

Windows Mobile vs Android

Most of us have a smartphone and that too with common Android software.  So, most of us think that Android is much better than Windows mobile. But here when you compare both the platforms, the results might be different.

First thing is multitasking feature. Windows OS is better than android to deal with multitasking. It’s actually designed to do so. Many criticize WM that it has got no close button for any app. When you exit the app, it stills runs in your background. But Android also has the same problem.

After you exit the app in android, it still runs in background. You need to go to task manager to close all of them. There usually you find around 10-15 apps running simultaneously, whereas WM has got only two to three of them working. This is one area where WM is better than Android.

Other advantage of WM is that it allows you to place the installed program either in phone memory or external SD card. This results in memory space management. But in Android we do not have any such feature of where you want to keep your installed programs. It automatically puts them  in SD card even though we have less space in SD and more space in phone memory and vice versa.

Another advantage is of computer desktop integration (or) pc suite. In WM pc suite, you have the option of syncing the contacts, messages and emails (outlook) to your pc. You find no such option in Android pc suite.

These are only few areas where WM is better compared to Android. There might be more of them. But Android is surely better in terms of app market etc. This blog is for making people aware that having a window mobile is not that bad as compared to android OS. But now as WM OS is kind of outdated, all companies are using android. I hope they would bring in new features which android lacked as compared with WM operating system.
